As America celebrates its 250th birthday, how should we remember our past?
Join me for the premiere episode of Season 250 of the Leadership & Success Podcast with Coach BZ, where we’ll explore one of the most important leadership conversations of our time.
This episode is based on my latest LinkedIn article:

💡 What You Will Learn
🇺🇸 Why Black history is not a separate story—but an essential part of the American story.
📚 Why Dr. Carter G. Woodson created Negro History Week, why it became Black History Month, and why I believe Black History Year is a natural continuation of that educational mission.
⚖️ Why understanding the Gettysburg Address, the Reconstruction Amendments, Juneteenth, and the Golden Thirteen helps us better understand America’s continuing journey toward a more perfect Union.
⚓ Why every military officer, public servant, and aspiring leader should study our complete history—not to assign guilt, but to develop wisdom, judgment, humility, and stronger leadership.
🔎 Why I believe the truth does not fear investigation, and why Black History Year is an invitation to examine original documents, military records, museums, biographies, and historical archives—not simply accept someone else’s conclusions.
🌎 How studying our shared and sometimes uncomfortable history can unite us around our highest ideals while inspiring us to continue Lincoln’s unfinished work of building a more perfect Union for all Americans.
Whether you’re a military leader, cybersecurity professional, educator, student, entrepreneur, or lifelong learner, I hope you’ll join this important conversation.
