Rear Admiral Studeman retired after an extraordinary 35-year career as one of America’s foremost national security and intelligence leaders. He concluded his distinguished service as Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence, while simultaneously serving as Director of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office and the Director of National Intelligence’s National Intelligence Manager for Maritime Affairs. Earlier, he served as Director of Intelligence (J2) for both U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and U.S. Southern Command, commanded intelligence operations supporting U.S. Cyber Command, and was appointed by President George W. Bush as a White House Fellow. Today, he continues serving as an author, speaker, strategic advisor, and one of the nation’s leading experts on China, the Indo-Pacific, and leadership. Â
