Commissioned into the U.S. Army Military Police Corps in 1988, General Martin served our nation for more than three decades, commanding Soldiers and leading some of the Army's most consequential organizations.

Her historic achievements include:

✨ FIRST Black woman to command the U.S. Army Military Police School.

✨ FIRST woman to command the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood.

✨ 18th Provost Marshal General and 15th Commanding General of Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID).

✨ FIRST woman and first African American woman to serve as the 67th Inspector General of the United States Army.

Today, her commitment to service continues as founder and president of Securing Our Children's Future, a nonprofit dedicated to combating childhood food insecurity while advancing literacy, education, and mentorship.
