This week, I’m honored to host Vice Admiral Joanna Nunan, U.S. Maritime Service (Ret.) — former Superintendent of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Senior Executive Service leader, and Rear Admiral, U.S. Coast Guard (Ret.).
A proud graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and 35-year operational leader, VADM Nunan commanded cutters from Alaska to the Pacific, served in the offices of two Cabinet Secretaries, led the Great Lakes District, and ultimately became the first woman to serve as Superintendent of Kings Point — where she strengthened accreditation, modernized infrastructure, and elevated maritime leadership for the next generation.
From cutter decks to cabinet-level strategy…
From crisis response to institutional reform…
From operational command to cultural transformation…
This conversation will challenge you to think differently about what leadership really requires.
